Nutella Protein Waffles

I’m on this protein waffle kick now guys. I’m obsessed with them! They’re my new weekend staple 🙂 With that in mind, I decided I wanted to do a fruit and Nutella crepe/waffle mashup. The result, Nutella protein waffles. Just feast your eyes on these beauties:

Here’s how you make them!

35g protein powder (I used cookies and cream, vanilla or chocolate would also taste great!)

113g unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 tsp baking powder

92g egg whites

40g halved strawberries

90g banana

37g Nutella OR Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter by Peanut Butter & Co

Instructions:

  1. Melt 14g butter in microwave
  1. Add 45g oats, to blender and blend till smooth.
  1. Add  protein powder, unsweetened apple sauce, egg whites, melted butter, and baking powder to a blender. Add water if it’s too thick. Blend. Transfer to a bowl.
  1. Spray and preheat your waffle maker. Pour batter in.
  1. While your waffle is cooking (this should take 5-8 minutes), slice your banana and strawberries up
  2. Take your waffle out of the waffle maker and place it in a plate. Use a knife and cut it into fourths.
  3. Top off your stack with the bananas, strawberries, and Nutella OR peanut butter. Enjoy!
