I always see recipes for protein coffee and that’s great and all, but I’m an Indian and I LOVE chai! Just made some clean protein chai as my snack 🙂
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup (8 oz) unsweetened almond milk
1 tetley masala chai tea bag (microwavable version, you can get this at any Indian store)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Instructions:
1. In a mug, heat up the almond milk with the teabag in it for 1 minute. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes. After 3 minutes, I used a spoon to swirl the teabag around for the remaining to minutes to get maximum flavor.
2. Pour the tea into a shaker cup and throw in a scoop of vanilla protein powder. Shake for a few seconds (till well blended) and pour back into the mug.
3. Sit on a couch, relax, and sip! Enjoy!
My mom adores chai! She drinks a chai latte every day, if not two. The vanilla protein powder must add a wonderful sweetness to your drink!
The vanilla protein really does! It makes it super creamy too! You should definitely get her to try it 🙂 It’s a great added bonus both flavor and nutrition wise!
